Bring the world of vets and pets into your classroom with exciting workshops delivered by your very own veterinary nurse! Learn about the five things that pets need to be healthy and happy and about some of the animals we've helped to recovery through our Pet Hospitals. We can also offer specific workshops on keeping safe around dogs and can tailor all workshops to fit in with topics and curriculum needs. -
A FREE workshop for uniform groups
If you're a uniform group leader, why not request a visit from a PDSA vet nurse to help with your animal-related badges and events? We can tailor our workshops to whatever topic you'd like to cover, including Canine Communication, Animal Heroes and the Five Welfare Needs of pets. -
A FREE Youth Group Workshop
If you're a group with members aged between 5 and 15, why not book an interactive workshop with a PDSA veterinary nurse? As the UK's leading veterinary charity, we can deliver workshops about the five things all pets need to be healthy and happy, safety around dogs, or can tailor our workshops to fit in with other topics. -
Animal Heroes in War and Peace FREE workshop
Looks at the heroic acts of animals in times of war and peace, PDSA’s medal programme and its animal recipients. Also shares the amazing stories of PDSA’s Pet Survivor awards. -
Animals and Us
Our enthusiastic team can visit your school for a fantastic workshop on pet care. The session can be adapted to focus on any animal that you keep in school or those that families have at home. It will involve hands-on activities that expand beyond the classroom to the school grounds, and leave young people with the knowledge that they need to care for pets throughout their lives. -

Dogs Helping Kids has specially trained dogs purely to work in the school, college, and library environment as both educational and therapeutic aids - to help teach children non-violence, empathy, respect, kindness, love, responsibility, friendship and trust. -

A visit from one of our Education Officers to primary schools and youth groups across the UK to teach children aged 7-11 years about responsible dog ownership and safety around dogs. -
