    IFAW’s new Special Schools resource Cats, Dogs and Us for students aged 2-19 focuses on learning about the needs of cats and dogs, and in turn our own needs and emotions. It includes a colourful magazine to share with students, lesson plans and a number of supporting activities including songs about cats and dogs, animal sensory experiences to explore with students, symbols to support communication, role-play activities and suggestions for a public performance based on students’ learning.

  • Secondary activity pack: Enterprise Challenge session 8 - Optional extensions
    Two extensions to the Enterprise Day are available. Students can produce a photo presentation of their new animal rescue centre. Photo Story 3 is free software for producing the presentation quickly and efficiently. Full instructions are provided. Pupils can use their own photos or those available in the image gallery. A second additional extension is for the class to devise a mini-enterprise. Pupils can work in small groups to make plans to help raise awareness and generate funds for Battersea or a local animal rescue centre.
